Call of Duty: World at WarEdit
The FG42 is a powerful weapon and can be great for fighting hordes of zombies behind or infront of the player, however the recoil can cause problems. a good way to make this an advantage is to aim at the zombies feet and let the gun work its way up the zombie as the recoil gets slower as it rises. It also has a high rate of fire which means there is no need to get Double Tap Root Beer with this weapon. However because of the high rate of fire the player will need to reload constantly, so Speed Cola is always a good Perk to have when using this weapon. ADS is not very useful with this gun as the pre mentioned recoil makes it hard to aim at a specific target, so it is best to hip fire with this weapon. Unlike most machine guns, the FG42 is light which means it is good to run with, which can help if the player has ro run away from zombies.
Call of Duty: ZombiesEdit
The FG42 apears in the iPhone/iPod/iPad version of the game. It can be gotten from the Mystery Box, or off the wall (only in Der Riese). It has a high rate of fire, and long reload time, it is one of the most powerful weapons in the game (not including wounder weapons).
Call of Duty: Black OpsEdit
The FG42 in the Black Ops version is exactly the same as the Wolrd at War version.
